Working Family and Student Financial Assistance Agency staff member tests preliminarily positive for COVID-19

     â€‹The Working Family and Student Financial Assistance Agency (WFSFAA) said today (February 17) that a clerical staff member in its Office of the Continuing Education Fund (CEF) tested preliminarily positive for COVID-19.

     The staff member works on 25/F, CDW Building, Tsuen Wan. She had no contact with the public in her daily work and last went to work on February 15. She had been wearing a mask at work and followed relevant disease prevention measures.

     The WFSFAA will arrange thorough cleaning and disinfection for the premises concerned. All staff working on the same floor will undergo COVID-19 testing and will work from home while waiting for the results. The WFSFAA will maintain close liaison with the Centre for Health Protection of the Department of Health in taking appropriate follow-up action. The CEF enquiry service counter on 25/F will be suspended today and tomorrow (February 18). For enquiries, please call the CEF hotline at 3142 2277 (manned by 1823).

     The WFSFAA will continue to strictly implement various disease prevention measures. Staff members are reminded to pay attention to personal hygiene and stay vigilant at all times. They should seek medical advice immediately and inform the WFSFAA if they feel unwell.
