Update on distribution progress of anti-epidemic service bags

â€‹The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government today (April 2) launched the first stage of the distribution exercise of anti-epidemic service bags. The 18 District Offices started the distribution to all households over the territory from 10am.

As at 6pm, the District Offices distributed over 1.57 million anti-epidemic service bags through various channels including property management companies. Over 3 000 volunteers and a number of civil service teams have delivered service bags to 65 000 grassroots families through door-to-door visits, while property management companies arranged delivery to households of properties and estates under their purview in a timely manner.

The Acting Secretary for Home Affairs, Mr Jack Chan, said he is confident that the distribution of 3.5 million anti-epidemic service bags will be completed within the seven-day target period. He is pleased with the smooth implementation and grateful for all the volunteers, civil servants and property management companies for their concerted efforts.
