Uniformed group boosts youth values
To promote youth development, the Fire Services Department established a new uniformed group, the Fire and Ambulance Services Teen Connect, in December 2021. Through a wide range of training programmes and activities, the department hopes to enrich young people's learning experiences and cultivate their positive thinking, law-abiding awareness, self-discipline and team spirit.
Since its establishment, the group has recruited 120 members, with 70 of them taking part in an experiential day recently to gain hands-on experience in the key services provided by the department.
News.gov.hk joined the experiential day to find out how the department equips young people with a rich learning experience and to hear from the students themselves about the benefits of joining the programme.
The story is available at www.news.gov.hk/eng/feature today (July 17) in text and video format.
