The Vice President of India, Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu led a delegation to participate in the 12th Asia-Europe Meeting that took place on 18-19 October 2018 in Brussels bringing together 51 countries across Asia and Europe, as well as EU and ASEAN Institutions under the title “Global Partners for Global Challenges”.

IndiaSkills 2018, the Country’s biggest skill competition, concluded here today, with the winners being awarded by dignitaries. Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship ShriAnantkumarHegde and ShriSubhashGhai, Chairman of Media and Entertainment Skills Council and India Film Director gave away the awards in 46 trades to participants from across the country.

Union Minister of Textiles Smriti Zubin Irani participated in a cleanliness drive under the Swachhta Hi Sewa campaign in the neighbourhood of  Okhla industrial area here today.

The SCO Peace Mission Exercise 2018 culminated on 29 August 2018 after days of joint training amongst multinational forces of eight SCO nations. In the joint multinational exercise which began on 24 Aug 2018 the SCO nations conducted training focused on combating terrorism.

Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Shri Kiren Rijiju along with team of officers from National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Ministry of Road Transport & Highways and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF)will visit flood and landslides affected areas of Nagaland  tomorrow (on 5th August, 2018).
