Pierre Moscovici, the EU Commissioner for Economic Affairs has let the cat out of the bag; there will be no deal or movement towards a deal at this week’s summit in Brussels. He has already announced that the will be no movement towards a deal this week. He is saying this before the discussions with the UK have even started.

Tory Government to Accelerate Immigration from the EU

Today the Tory government stated that any EU citizens that come to the UK before we leave the EU will be given the ‘right to remain’. It is not clear whether that is when we officially leave in 2019 or after an as yet unspecified ‘transition’ period.

Crime stats show a country not at ease with itself

Latest Office for National Statistics figures on crime and violent crime show a significant upsurge, with overall crime rising by 13% for the year until June and violent crime rising a staggering 19%. This equates to 4.5 million incidents a year, or if you take the other authoritative study that came out today, the Crime Survey for England and Wales a terrifying 10.8 million offences.
