     The Hong Kong Observatory replaced the​ Increasing Gale or Storm Signal No.9 with the No. 8 Northeast Gale or Storm Signal at 11.50pm yesterday (October 8).

     The Home Affairs Department has so far opened 29 temporary shelters in various districts and 255 people have sought refuge at the shelters.

     As at 0.40am today (October 9), the Fire Services Department and the Government's 1823 Call Centre received eight reports and eight reports of fallen trees respectively. No report of landslide or flooding has been received so far. 
 
     According to the Hospital Authority, as at 0.00am today, a total of 22 people, including 12 men and 10 women, sought medical treatment at public hospitals during the typhoon period.
