Tropical Cyclone Nangka roundup
As tropical cyclone Nangka is moving away from Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Observatory issued the Strong Wind Signal No. 3 at 7.40pm today (October 13) to replace the No. 8 Northeast Gale or Storm Signal issued at 5.40am.
The Home Affairs Department opened 22 temporary shelters in various districts and 109 people sought refuge at the shelters.
As at 7pm, the 1823 Government Call Centre has received 17 reports of fallen trees. No report of landslide or flooding has been received.
According to the Hospital Authority, two men and one woman have sought medical treatment at public hospitals during the typhoon period.
