Transport Department reminds public to use latest versions of application forms when submitting vehicle-related applications
The Transport Department (TD) today (March 29) reminded members of the public that they must use the latest versions of application forms when submitting vehicle-related applications. Registered vehicle owners and holders of movement permit/trade licences must provide either a Hong Kong mobile phone number or an email address as their electronic contact means when submitting vehicle-related applications to the TD's Licensing Offices so as to facilitate the implementation of the Free Flow Tolling System (FFTS) starting from the end of this year.
The TD staff members noted that among the applications received recently, some applicants might not have noticed the forms have been updated and they used the old versions of the forms to submit their applications without providing electronic contact means. These applications could not be processed and the applicants need to re-submit their forms.
The latest versions of vehicle-related application forms are available at the four Licensing Offices of the TD, the Home Affairs Enquiry Centres and post offices in various districts. Members of the public may also download the forms at the TD's website (www.td.gov.hk/en/public_forms/td_forms/index.html).
