Tin Shui Wai Hospital makes public appeal to help locate missing patient confirmed with COVID-19

The following is issued on behalf of the Hospital Authority:
 
     The spokesman for Tin Shui Wai Hospital (TSWH) made the following appeal today (February 14) regarding a transferred patient confirmed with COVID-19 leaving hospital without authorization:
      
     A 48-year-old male patient confirmed with COVID-19 was being transferred from Pok Oi Hospital to Tin Shui Wai Hospital Tier-2 ward for continued isolation and treatment at 6pm today. Upon arrival at TSWH , the patient ran away. Ambulancemen and hospital staff tried to chase the patient but in vain.
      
     Security guards were deployed to search for the patient near the hospital. The hospital also reported to the police for assistance. The hospital is very concerned about the incident and will fully co-operate with police to locate the patient.
      
     The patient is about 1.7 meters tall, thin. He was barefoot, wearing a green checked long-sleeve patient shirt and black slim trousers when leaving the hospital.
      
     The hospital appeals to the public to contact Tin Shui Wai Police Station at 3661 4800 if they know the whereabouts of the patient.
