Three additional COVID-19 vaccination centres open for reservations starting Monday

The Government will set up three Pop-up Community Vaccination Centres (PCVCs) at Tuen Mun Town Hall, Wo Hing Playground in Fanling and Sha Tin Town Hall. Members of the public can make reservations starting from 9am on Monday (February 14).

The PCVCs at Tuen Mun Town Hall and Wo Hing Playground in Fanling will come into operation from February 16 and the PCVC at Sha Tin Town Hall will commence operation from February 18. The three PCVCs will provide the public with the BioNTech vaccination service and their operations will last for six weeks. Members of the public can make reservations through the online booking system on the designated website of the COVID-19 Vaccination Programme (www.covidvaccine.gov.hk).

The three PCVCs will be located at the ground floor lobby of Tuen Mun Town Hall, 3 Tuen Hi Road, Tuen Mun; Wo Hing Playground, Lui Ming Road, Fanling; and the ground floor lobby of Sha Tin Town Hall, 1 Yuen Wo Road, Sha Tin and will operate daily from 9am to 6pm. Persons aged 60 or above can get a same-day ticket at the PCVCs. Eligible persons can receive their first, second or third dose of BioNTech vaccination at the PCVCs.

The Secretary for the Civil Service, Mr Patrick Nip, said, "We have been increasing the vaccination capacity through different means so as to enable persons who meet the age requirement to get vaccinated for self-protection as soon as possible and to reduce the risk of falling seriously ill and death should one get infected. The three PCVCs can each provide over 1 000 vaccination doses to the public every day."

"Members of the public can also receive the free Sinovac or BioNTech vaccination services at private clinics, private hospitals or private healthcare institutions participating in the programme. Eligible persons, both young and old, please act fast and get all three doses on time to enhance protection. Meanwhile, the service schedule of the Mobile Vaccination Stations has also been updated to enable residents of various housing estates and people residing in the vicinity to get vaccinated conveniently," he added.
