The Highways Department (HyD) today (June 14) invited tenders for the widening of the western section of Lin Ma Hang Road between Ping Yuen River and Ping Che Road (Contract No. HY/2019/04).
The works are scheduled to commence in October 2019 and will take about 42 months to complete. The works mainly include:
- widening of a section of Lin Ma Hang Road of approximately 750 metres long between Ping Yuen River and Ping Che Road to a single two-lane carriageway with a 2-metre-wide footpath on both sides;
- construction of a vehicular bridge of approximately 70m long and 8.3m wide across Ping Yuen River; and
- associated civil and road works, slope, retaining walls, public lighting, drainage and landscaping works, reprovisioning of affected public facilities and environmental mitigation measures.
The HyD has appointed Ove Arup and Partners Hong Kong Limited to design and supervise the construction works. Interested contractors can obtain the tender forms and other particulars from Ove Arup and Partners Hong Kong Limited at Level 5, Festival Walk, 80 Tat Chee Avenue, Kowloon Tong, Hong Kong.
The invitation to tender was gazetted today. Submission of tenders will close at noon on August 9, 2019 (Friday). Tender submissions should be placed in the Government Secretariat Tender Box located at the lobby of the Public Entrance on the G/F, East Wing, Central Government Offices, 2 Tim Mei Avenue, Tamar, Hong Kong.
