The Civil Engineering and Development Department (CEDD) today (September 20) gazetted a notice to invite tenders for the contract for site formation and infrastructure works for public housing development at three urban squatter areas, Kowloon East (Contract No. SD/2024/02). The closing time for the tender is noon on November 15.
The works mainly include:
- site clearance and formation, as well as construction of related retaining walls and slopes;
- construction of two carriageways with associated footpaths to connect (i) Ko Ling Road and Cha Kwo Ling Road, and (ii) Cha Kwo Ling Road and Fan Wa Street;
- construction of a new pedestrian link to connect the new link road mentioned in item (i) above to the public housing development at Cha Kwo Ling Village;
- associated road improvement works near three squatter areas; and
- associated ancillary works including drainage works, sewerage works, waterworks, land decontamination works and roadside greening works.
The works are scheduled to commence in the first quarter of 2025 and will take about 43 months to complete.
The CEDD has commissioned AECOM Asia Company Limited to design and supervise the works. Interested contractors may download the tender forms and other particulars from the e-Tendering System (e-TS). Tenderers must submit their tenders in electronic format via the e-TS.
