The following is issued on behalf of the Hospital Authority:

The spokesperson for New Territories East Cluster (NTEC) today (August 9) announced the temporary service relocation of Lek Yuen General Out-patient Clinic (address: G/F, 9 Lek Yuen Street, Sha Tin) from August 15 due to renovation works of the clinic to improve its environment and services. The clinic's services are expected to resume at the original location upon completion of the renovation works, tentatively in the first quarter of 2023.

Due to the renovation works of the clinic, services for patients with chronic illnesses requiring regular follow-up will be temporarily relocated to the first floor of the Sir Yue-kong Pao Centre for Cancer and the Lady Pao Children's Cancer Centre at Prince of Wales Hospital, while services for patients with episodic illnesses and services provided during evenings, on Sunday and on public holidays will be temporarily relocated to Yuen Chau Kok General Out-patient Clinic (address: G/F, 29 Chap Wai Kon Street, Sha Tin). The service hours will remain unchanged (details are in the appendix).

Patients with chronic illnesses requiring regular follow-up at Lek Yuen General Out-patient Clinic have already been informed and arrangements have been made for them to attend follow-up appointments at the first floor of the Sir Yue-kong Pao Centre for Cancer and the Lady Pao Children's Cancer Centre at Prince of Wales Hospital. Patients with episodic illnesses can make appointments via the General Out-patient Clinic Telephone Appointment System or the "Book GOPC" function in the "HA Go" mobile app as usual and attend the consultations according to their bookings.

"NTEC has already informed the residents in the district on the service arrangements through various channels, including putting up posters and banners at the clinic. Briefing has been arranged for the respective District Council. Reminder messages will also be added to the General Out-patient Clinic Telephone Appointment System and the 'Book GOPC' function in the 'HA Go' mobile app, so that the public and residents in the district can be updated on the relevant service arrangements as soon as possible," the spokesperson added.
