The Department for Infrastructure has announced five appointments to the Board of Northern Ireland Water

Peter McNaney has been appointed to the Board to serve a second term.  Belinda Oldfield, Marie-Thérèse McGivern, Patrick Larkin and Maurice Bullick have all been appointed to serve for a first term.

The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) has launched a recruitment campaign to appoint a Chair to Northern Ireland Water (NIW).




Reval2020 will help to rebalance business rates

Known as Reval2020 – this process will result in a new non-domestic Valuation List being used to calculate business rate bills from April 2020. This process is about restoring fairness in the rating system by redistributing basically the same rating burden using more up-to-date values. A revaluation is not about collecting more money from businesses, but it is about ensuring that everyone pays their fair share.




Skipper convicted at Downpatrick Magistrates' Court

A County Down skipper was today convicted for fishing 79 lobster pots inside the Sea Fisheries Exclusion Zone in Strangford Lough.
