Following further inspections of lift faults in MOT centres, the contractor has not provided sufficient assurance to DVA this evening on the effectiveness of the ongoing repairs. To ensure the health and safety of staff and customers and as a precautionary measure, DVA has suspended all MOT testing for cars and light vehicles with immediate effect. Tests on heavy goods vehicles and buses will continue.




Infected Blood Payments Announced by Swann

Health Minister Robin Swann has announced payments for people who were diagnosed with Hepatitis C or HIV after receiving NHS-supplied infected blood.




Murphy allocates funds for Special Educational Needs, Blood Contamination payments and Historical Institutional Abuse Inquiry

Finance Minister, Conor Murphy today allocated over £40 million as part of the 2019/20 January monitoring round process. This is the method by which departments can return unspent money for reallocation.
