Mallon: Irish Government budget an important step forward for all island infrastructure delivery

Infrastructure Minister Nichola Mallon has welcomed the announcement in today’s budget from the Irish government of their commitment to spend €500 Million over the course of the next five years on key infrastructure projects across the island.

Commenting today following the decision to recommend planning approval for the new Casement Park stadium, Communities Minister Carál Ní Chuilín has said she is determined the project now progresses without further delay.

Statement in response to NIAO report on generating electricity from renewable sources

Renewable electricity has been the major success story in Northern Ireland in our efforts to address climate change. The NI Renewables Obligation (NIRO) has been the support mechanism behind this achievement. The majority of the NIRO related issues identified in the Northern Ireland Audit Office (NIAO) report focus on a subset of two technologies which represent a small proportion of the renewable electricity generation supported by the scheme.




Minister Ní Chuilín announces design work on new public realm scheme for Derry
