Over one third of Northern Ireland’s bee species are under threat of extinction, Environment Minister Edwin Poots MLA has said on World Bee Day.

Environmental projects that connect people with nature, improve our best habitats or help tackle threats facing our natural environment such as the decline of native species are being urged to apply for funding.

The Avian Influenza Prevention Zone (AIPZ) in force across Northern Ireland (NI) and the ban on poultry gatherings has ended as of noon on 20 May 2021, Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs Minister, Edwin Poots, has announced.
