President presents Dr Ambedkar National Award for Social Understanding and Upliftment of Weaker Sections

The President of India Shri Pranab Mukharjee presented the “Dr. Ambedkar National Award for Social Understanding and up-liftment of Weaker Sections for the year 2011, 2012 and 2014” at a function here today.

After GST regime, telecom companies would be required to re-work their costing and credits availability and re-jig their prices and ensure that the increased availability of credit is passed on to the customers by lowering their costs.

Telecommunication services presently attract Service Tax of 14% along with Swachh Bharat Cess (SBC) of 0.5% and Krishi Kalyan Cess (KKC) of 0.5%.

Grant of License for Manufacture of Defence Items

Vide Notification S.O. 1636 (E) dated 19.05.2017 of Ministry of Home Affairs, powers and functions under sub-section (1) of Section (5), clauses (b) and (c) of Section 7 and Chapter III of Arms Act, 1959 have been delegated to Secretary, Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion in respect of defence items included in the Schedule.
