Union Home Minister Shri Rajnath Singh chairs the Northern Zonal Council meeting at Chandigarh today

The 28th meeting of the Northern Zonal Council consisting of the States of Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan, National Capital Territory of Delhi and Union Territory of Chandigarh was held at Chandigarh today under the Chairmanship of Shri Rajnath Singh, Union Home Minister.

HUDCO Initial Public Offering (IPO) over-subscribed by more than 79 times; Bids worth Rs. 97000 crores received for issue size of Rs. 1200 crores

The HUDCO Initial Public Offering (IPO) saw an exceptional level of interest and the Issue as a whole was oversubscribed by more than 79 times. Bids worth Rs. 97,000 crores were received for an issue size of Rs. 1,200 crores. This is the highest level of oversubscription witnessed in a divestment by Government of India through IPO route.

Revision of Base Year of All-India Index of Industrial Production from 2004-05 to 2011-12

1. The Central Statistics Office (CSO), Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, revises the base year of the macroeconomic indicators, as a regular exercise, to capture structural changes in the economy and improve the quality and representativeness of the indices.

Consumer price index numbers on base 2012=100 for Rural, Urban and Combined for the month of April 2017

The Central Statistics Office (CSO), Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation has revised the Base Year of the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 2010=100 to 2012=100 with effect from the release of indices for the month of January 2015.
