Task Force on Land Supply to hold second public forum

     The Task Force on Land Supply will hold the second public forum (New Territories East) to gauge public views on land supply options. Details and enrolment arrangements are as follows:
 
Date: July 7 (Saturday)
Time: 2pm to 5pm
Venue: Tai Po Community Centre
            (2 Heung Sze Wui Street, Tai Po, New Territories)
 
     The forum will be conducted in Cantonese. Simultaneous interpretation in English will be available. Interested members of the public may register from tomorrow (June 25) at 9am by using the following methods:
      
(i) Online: www.landforhongkong.hk/en/participation/engage_act.php;
 
(ii) Email/fax: Download the registration form from the above website for return via email (pflandforhongkong.hk@a-world.com.hk) or fax (2865 2559); or
 
(iii) Telephone: 2114 4972 (9am to 5pm).
 
     Registration will close on June 29 (Friday) at 5pm. In view of the limited seating capacity at the venue, only one seat can be reserved for each registration, and requests will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
      
     In addition, the dates and venues of the roving exhibitions to be held by the Task Force from June 27 to July 29 are as follows. The exhibition period is 11am to 8pm.

Mui Wo Swimming Pool temporarily closed

Please broadcast the following as soon as possible and repeat it at regular intervals:

     Here is an item of interest to swimmers.

     The Leisure and Cultural Services Department announced today (June 24) that Mui Wo Swimming Pool in Islands District has been temporarily closed for cleaning and superchlorination following the discovery of a small amount of vomit in the pool.

     It will be reopened at 5.15pm today.

     The department appeals to swimmers to be considerate and to keep the swimming pools clean. They are advised not to swim after a full meal and should use the toilet facilities if necessary before swimming.




Liquor Licensing Board to meet on Tuesday

The following is issued on behalf of the Liquor Licensing Board:

     The Liquor Licensing Board will meet on Tuesday (June 26) to consider an application for renewal of liquor licence on Hong Kong Island.

     The application is:
 
Kui Kee Seafood Restaurant in Wan Chai
 
     The meeting will be held at 9.45am in the conference room, Room 102, 1/F, 258 Queen's Road East, Wan Chai. Members of the public are welcome to attend, except during the private session on confidential items.




SHA to attend launch ceremony of youth event in Shenzhen

     The Secretary for Home Affairs, Mr Lau Kong-wah, will depart for Shenzhen at around noon tomorrow (June 25) to attend the launch ceremony of a tour on national development strategies and opportunities for Hong Kong youths. He will also visit a youth entrepreneurship base in Shenzhen.

     Mr Lau will return to Hong Kong in the evening on the same day.




Flag raising and lowering parade to be suspended

     Owing to the improvement works on the flag poles and the podium at the Golden Bauhinia Square, Wan Chai, the flag lowering parade scheduled at 6pm tomorrow (June 25) and the flag raising and lowering parade on June 26 will be suspended.

     The flag raising parade will resume at 8am on June 27.
