Suspension of counter service of Labour Relations Division (Sha Tin & Tai Po Branch Office) of Labour Department with occurrence of infected case
The Labour Department (LD) today (March 1) announced that, with the occurrence of a COVID-19 case of an office staff, the service counter of the Labour Relations Division (Sha Tin & Tai Po Branch Office) will be suspended tomorrow (March 2) for cleaning and disinfection of the office.
The staff member works on the third floor of Sha Tin Government Offices, 1 Sheung Wo Che Road, Sha Tin. She last went to work on March 1. She had been wearing a mask at work and followed relevant disease prevention measure.
The LD will arrange thorough cleaning and disinfection for the office premises concerned. All office staff will undergo COVID-19 testing. Members of the public who have made prior service appointments with this office will be informed of the alternative arrangements individually.
The LD will maintain close liaison with the Centre for Health Protection of the Department of Health in its anti-epidemic work. It will continue to implement various disease prevention measures, and remind all staff to stay vigilant in regard to personal hygiene at all times. If they feel unwell, they should seek medical advice immediately and inform the department.
