STL to visit Guangzhou
The Secretary for Transport and Logistics, Mr Lam Sai-hung, will leave for Guangzhou tomorrow (September 20) for a two-day visit.
During his stay in Guangzhou, Mr Lam will meet with the leaders of Guangdong Province and the Department of Transport of Guangdong Province to exchange views on various areas such as strengthening the transport network and connectivity between Hong Kong and other cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and further facilitating the flow of people and goods in the region.
Mr Lam, accompanied by representatives of the Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute Company Limited, will also inspect an automated parking system and visit companies involved in the research and development of autonomous driving technology in Guangzhou.
He will return to Hong Kong on Thursday (September 21) evening. In Mr Lam's absence, the Under Secretary for Transport and Logistics, Mr Liu Chun-san, will be the Acting Secretary for Transport and Logistics.
