STL leads delegation to visit Vietnam
The Secretary for Transport and Logistics, Mr Lam Sai-hung, will lead a delegation of Hong Kong Logistics Development Council members to visit Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam tomorrow (October 10) morning to learn about local logistics developments, as well as to explore business opportunities between Hong Kong and Vietnam.
Mr Lam and the delegation will visit various facilities, including airport cargo systems and an intelligent logistics park. They will also meet with representatives from chambers of commerce and the trade of Vietnam, with a view to promoting Hong Kong's advantages as an international logistics hub, and strengthening exchanges between the logistics trades from both places.
In addition, Mr Lam will meet with local government officials to exchange views on issues of mutual concern.
​Mr Lam will return to Hong Kong in the evening on Friday (October 13). During his absence, the Under Secretary for Transport and Logistics, Mr Liu Chun-san, will be the Acting Secretary for Transport and Logistics.
