Statutory guidance: SR2015 No 17: vehicle storage depollution and dismantling authorised treatment facility

These standard rules allow you to operate a vehicle depollution and dismantling facility at a specified location and to the recovery (including storage) of all waste motor vehicles.

The total quantity of waste that can be accepted at a site under these rules must be less than 5,000 tonnes a year.

These rules will not permit the burning of any wastes:

• in the open
• inside buildings
• in any form of incinerator
