Special ticket purchase arrangement for 2024 Paris Olympic Games Mainland Olympians delegation gala show and sports demonstrations
The delegation of 2024 Paris Olympic Games Mainland Olympians will attend the Mainland Olympians Gala Show on August 30 (Friday) and give two sports demonstrations on the morning of August 31 (Saturday). Tickets will be available for purchase starting at 10am this Thursday (August 22). The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) announced today (August 20) that a special ticket purchase arrangement will be implemented for the three performances.
Tickets will be available for $20 each (including the online ticketing service charge) from 10am on August 22 (Thursday) via the Internet, mobile app and telephone booking services of URBTIX. There will be no concessionary tickets, and each person can purchase a maximum of two tickets at a time. Details of the ticketing channels are set out below:
• URBTIX website (www.urbtix.hk)
• Mobile App URBTIX (Android, HarmonyOS and iPhone/iPad versions)
• Telephone booking: 3166 1288 (10am – 8pm daily, including public holidays)
Ticket purchases for the gala show and the two sports demonstrations will be made through diversions on URBTIX. Ticket buyers can select only one of these events at a time. When ticket sales begin, buyers can click the corresponding "Ticket Purchase" buttons for the respective event diversions to access the ticketing page of the selected event. The system will allocate seats for ticket buyers; self-selection of seats will not be available, and buyers will have 10 minutes to complete the transaction.
Real-name ticketing is required for ticket purchases. The full English name of each ticket holder will be printed on each ticket. Ticker buyers should prepare the information in advance for the ticker purchase. Each ticket holder must present a proof of identity with photo that matches the name on the ticket for verification upon entry; failure to do so will result in denied admission and no refunds. Ticket holders may not make unauthorised amendments to the information as printed on the ticket or transfer the ticket for another's use.
A spokesman for the LCSD said that the department does not authorise ticket purchases through any channel other than URBTIX. Members of the public who purchase or obtain unauthorised tickets may fall victim to fraud, risking not only entry denial but also financial losses. The spokesman also reminded members of the public to properly manage their personal data and avoid disclosing it arbitrarily to others, so as to prevent data theft for unlawful purposes, which could lead to severe consequences.
