Hongkong Post announced today (October 4) the release of a set of special stamps on the theme "Hong Kong Hiking Trails Series No. 2: MacLehose Trail" and associated philatelic products on October 24 (Thursday). Special features include printed soil from the trail and an arrow sign laser-cut on each stamp, making this a truly collectible set of stamps.
The 100-kilometre MacLehose Trail has been a popular scenic trail for hikers, locally and globally. The set of 10 $2 stamps showcases impressive scenes of the 10 sections of the trail, including the captivating red autumn leaves of Tai Lam Sweet Gum Woods, the spectacular coastal landscape of Sai Kung and a panorama of the bustling urban area at the foot of Lion Rock.
