SITI visits Munich in Germany (with photos)
The Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry, Professor Sun Dong, yesterday (June 14, Hamburg time) proceeded to Munich for the last day of his visit in Germany.
Professor Sun first visited Technische Universität München (TUM), which is renowned as one of Europe's leading universities in research and innovation, and entrepreneurship. The university's Senior Vice President, Professor Claudia Peus, shared with Professor Sun the TUM's wide-ranging industry collaborations and start-up network, tailored consulting services and professional training for anchoring entrepreneurship at all levels of university teaching and practice.
Professor Sun also visited BioM Biotech Cluster Development GmbH to understand the biotechnology and medicine community and ecosystem in the state of Bavaria and the organisation's support to Bavarian biotech companies in accelerating innovation and growth.
Professor Sun later met with the Chinese Consul General in Munich, Mr Tong Defa, and briefed him on the Government's work in charting Hong Kong in moving full steam towards the vision of an international innovation and technology centre.
Professor Sun will leave Germany on June 15 (Munich time) and arrive in Hong Kong on Friday morning (June 17, Hong Kong time).
