SFH to attend meeting on Chinese medicine development in Guangzhou

     The Secretary for Food and Health, Professor Sophia Chan, today (October 22) travelled to Guangzhou to attend a press conference cum work plan meeting on the proposal on the development of Chinese medicine in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area covering 2020-2025, organised by the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Office of the Leading Group for the Development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the People's Government of Guangdong Province.
 
     The aforementioned proposal aims to foster collaboration among cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area on Chinese medicine in the aspects of medical services, scientific research, manpower training, industry development, internationalisation and more.
 
     Professor Chan will speak at the meeting and return to Hong Kong in the afternoon. The Under Secretary for Food and Health, Dr Chui Tak-yi, will be the Acting Secretary for Food and Health during her absence.
