The report delivered by Secretary General of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee Xi Jinping at the 20th National Congress of the CPC emphasises that the "one country, two systems" principle is the best institutional arrangement for ensuring sustained prosperity and stability in Hong Kong after its return to the motherland, which must be adhered to over the long term. The report also supports Hong Kong to play a greater role in realising the national rejuvenation by developing its economy, improving livelihoods and better integrating into the nation's overall development. The discussion on the "one country, two systems" principle mentioned in the report is a key action guide for Hong Kong to promote the transition from chaos to order and to advance from stability to prosperity. An accurate understanding of the essence of the 20th National Congress of the CPC is conducive to ensuring the robustness of "one country, two systems" principle and enabling Hong Kong to better integrate into the nation's overall development. The Central and Western District Office (C&WDO), the Kwun Tong District Office (KTDO) and the Wong Tai Sin District Office (WTSDO) each held sessions in recent days and invited different keynote speakers with the aim of enabling Hong Kong youths and district figures to concisely grasp the essentials and connotations from the report and implement the essence of the 20th National Congress of the CPC.
