Service adjustments of DH’s Student Health Service

     In view of the latest developments of the COVID-19 epidemic situation, the Department of Health (DH) today (December 10) announced that services under the Student Health Service of the DH will be further adjusted in order to deploy more healthcare manpower to support anti-epidemic work and meet operational needs.

     Starting from tomorrow (December 11), services of four Student Health Service Centres (SHSCs), namely Kowloon City Lions Clubs SHSC, Shek Wu Hui SHSC, South Kwai Chung SHSC and Tsz Wan Shan Wu York Yu SHSC, will be suspended.

     The following five SHSCs will remain open. They are:

  • Chai Wan SHSC;
  • Lam Tin SHSC;
  • Sha Tin SHSC;
  • Tuen Mun SHSC; and
  • Western SHSC.
  •

    The SHSCs remaining open will also suspend the provision of annual health assessment services until further notice. Limited Special Assessment Centre services will continue to be provided at the centres remaining open to students who require further follow-ups. These include assessment services provided by clinical psychologists, dietitians, optometrists, audiologists and scoliosis-related services.

     For enquiries, please contact the centres during service hours, which are Monday to Friday, 9am to 1pm and 2pm to 6pm (except public holidays). For details of the centres, please refer to the website: www.studenthealth.gov.hk/english/centre/centre.html.

     Meanwhile, the DH will continue to implement stringent infection control measures at service units, of which, all clients with appointments and visitors must put on surgical masks and have their body temperature checked.
