Seize opportunity to join LCSD souvenir redemption scheme in celebration of 25th anniversary of establishment of HKSAR (with photo)
In view of the overwhelming response from the public, more programmes will be included in the souvenir redemption scheme launched by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) to encourage members of the public to take part in its programmes to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR).
The stamp collection cards are distributed at various venues managed by the LCSD. Upon joining the selected programmes, members of the public can collect a stamp on the card and those who have collected four stamps by participating in two cultural and two leisure and sports programmes within this year can redeem a box of the commemorative LCSD Board Game for the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the HKSAR, designed by an illustrator, while stocks last.
The newly added cultural programmes include "The Hong Kong Jockey Club Series: Dunhuang: Enchanting Tales for Millennium" currently held at the Hong Kong Heritage Museum (until November 21); exhibitions/activities held this year at the Hong Kong Museum of Art (HKMoA), Hong Kong City Hall, Hong Kong Cultural Centre and Hong Kong Central Library. Members of the public can also collect a stamp by visiting the new extension of the Oil Street Artspace, touring the Hong Kong Jockey Club Series: "The Road to the Baroque – Masterpieces from the Capodimonte Museum" exhibition held at the HKMoA (until November 2) and "The Hong Kong Jockey Club Series: The Big Eight – Dinosaur Revelation" exhibition held at Hong Kong Science Museum (until November 16).
Regarding recreational and sports programmes, apart from joining the Happy@Parks events and playing the LCSD board game at the chessboard floor stickers, members of the public now can also collect a stamp by touring the garden plots of "Blossom Around Town" in 18 districts (until October 16) and visiting the robotic dinosaurs at Central Plaza of Tsuen Wan Park (September 9 to October 30), Entrance Plaza at Tai Po Tung Cheong Street Leisure Building (September 10 to November 6), Piazza of Kowloon Park (November 7 to December 27) and Lawn Area of North Point Promenade (November 11 to December 30).
