​The Secretary for Environment and Ecology, Mr Tse Chin-wan, will depart for a visit to Guangzhou and Zhaoqing tomorrow (July 18).
During his stay, Mr Tse will visit the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Guangdong Province to strengthen the exchanges and co-operation in agriculture and fisheries between Guangdong and Hong Kong. He will also visit the aquaculture farm of Guanxing (Zhaoqing) Agricultural Technology Co. Ltd, the Guangdong International Fishery High Tech Park, the Vegetable Basket Project (Zengcheng) Customs Clearance Facilitation Zone of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the Conghua Racecourse, etc to learn about the latest developments in related industries.
The Permanent Secretary for Environment and Ecology (Food), Miss Vivian Lau, the Director of Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation, Dr Leung Siu-fai, and officers from the Environment and Ecology Bureau and the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department will also join the visit.
Mr Tse will return to Hong Kong in the evening on July 20. During his absence, the Under Secretary for Environment and Ecology, Miss Diane Wong, will be the Acting Secretary for Environment and Ecology.
