The Housing Department yesterday (February 12) learnt that a female security guard employed by a contractor at Foo Wo House, Wo Che Estate, Shatin has tested positive for COVID-19.
The security guard is residing at Wo Che Estate. She is a close contact of an earlier confirmed case at Foo Wo House. She was sent to the quarantine centre on February 11 and was notified by the Centre for Health Protection (CHP) yesterday that she had tested positive for COVID-19.
She works night shifts for tower guard duties. She last performed duties on the night of February 6 until the morning of February 7. There was a protective screen at the tower guard counter to separate security guards from the residents and the visitors. When performing duties, she has been wearing a face mask and undergoing temperature checks and her body temperature was normal. She has no recent travel history.
The common areas of Foo Wo House, the security control room and all tower guard posts at Wo Che Estate have been thoroughly cleaned and disinfected in accordance with the guidelines of the CHP.
The Housing Department will continue its close liaison with the CHP and co-operate with its quarantine work.
