The Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism, Mr Kevin Yeung, today (July 29, Paris Time) congratulated Hong Kong fencing athlete Cheung Ka-long on winning a gold medal in Men's Foil Individual event at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
Mr Yeung said in Paris, "With his exceptional performance, Cheung Ka-long displayed the demeanour of a Hong Kong athlete in the Olympic Games. Same as other Hong Kong citizens, I am thrilled and proud that Cheung Ka-long went from strength to strength in this competition of highest level and defended the title. He deserves our applause for winning gold medals in two consecutive Olympic Games. I am very excited for witnessing the Hong Kong, China Delegation claiming a gold medal in Paris once again."
