A spokesman for the Civil Service Bureau said today (March 3) that the Secretary for the Civil Service, Mr Patrick Nip, had completed his home quarantine as a close contact and returned to office for work today.

The spokesman said that Mr Nip had undergone home quarantine in accordance with the "StayHomeSafe" Scheme since February 24. With reference to the Department of Health's latest guidelines on home quarantine for close contacts, persons who have received at least two doses of COVID-19 vaccine may conduct rapid antigen tests (RAT) on Day 6 and Day 7 of their home quarantine period. If they test negative upon taking the RAT on these two consecutive days (or any two consecutive days thereafter), their quarantine will be considered to be completed upon obtaining the second negative result.

Mr Nip and family members conducted RAT yesterday and today and all the results are negative.
