Sau Mau Ping Public Library to open this Friday (with photos)
The newly relocated Sau Mau Ping Public Library (SMPPL) will open at 10am on Friday (July 23), offering diverse library services and a pleasant reading space to residents in the community.
Located at the upper ground floor of Sau Yun House, Sau Mau Ping Estate, Sau Ming Road, Sau Mau Ping, the new library has a floor area that has been expanded from about 290 square metres to some 730 sq m with more seats available. The new library will also introduce for readers the Express Check-in Service, the Self-charging Service, Children's Internet and Multimedia Services, and more.
The new library will replace the existing one located at Units No. 104-109, G/F, Sau Ming House, Sau Mau Ping Estate. The existing library will cease operation on the same day.

In view of the latest situation of COVID-19, visitors to the facilities of SMPPL are required to scan the "LeaveHomeSafe" QR code or register their name, contact number and date and time of entry. They will be subject to temperature checks before admission, as well as needing to use hand sanitiser and wear their own masks. Children under 12 will only be allowed to enter public libraries when accompanied by an adult. Enhanced cleaning and disinfection measures will be conducted.
