Public hospitals daily update on COVID-19 cases
The following is issued on behalf of the Hospital Authority:
As at noon today (July 21), 23 COVID-19 confirmed patients (case numbers: 1208, 1265, 1270, 1283, 1290, 1299, 1319, 1320, 1361, 1381, 1383, 1385, 1386, 1387, 1397, 1429, 1505, 1591, 1593, 1595, 1637, 1732 and 1734) were discharged from hospital in the past 24 hours. The list of discharged patients released yesterday (July 20) mistakenly included a patient (case number: 1530) who had been discharged earlier. Upon verification, a total of 1,324 patients with confirmed or probable infections have been discharged so far.
At present, there are 650 negative pressure rooms in public hospitals with 1,207 negative pressure beds activated. A total of 609 confirmed patients are currently hospitalised in 14 hospitals, among which 29 patients are in critical condition (case numbers: 595, 1315, 1338, 1346, 1401, 1424, 1428, 1470, 1483, 1485, 1491, 1497, 1573, 1630, 1640, 1644, 1679, 1680, 1710, 1718, 1730, 1779, 1795, 1806, 1835, 1940, 1944, 1955 and 1956), 11 are in serious condition (case numbers: 1306, 1439, 1449, 1456, 1468, 1557, 1558, 1767, 1798, 1843 and 1934) and the remaining 569 patients are in stable condition.
The HA will maintain close contact with the Centre for Health Protection to monitor the latest developments and to inform the public and healthcare workers on the latest information in a timely manner.
