The Chief Executive in Council has authorised the scheme for the sewerage works for Yuen Long South Development Stage 1 Works and Stage 2 Works, Phase 1 with modification as stated in a notice gazetted today (March 18).
The modification involves a revision of the proposed limit of the works area. The Modification Plan is available for public inspection at the following government offices during office hours:

The sewerage scheme comprises the following:
(i) construction of about 5,800 metres of gravity sewers and associated manholes;
(ii) construction of about 2,600m of twin rising mains and associated manholes; and
(iii) ancillary works including reinstatement of carriageways, footpaths, cycle tracks, pedestrian crossings and amenity areas.
Details of the sewerage scheme were published in the Government Gazette on March 26, 2021, and April 1, 2021.
Construction works for the sewerage scheme will be carried out by the Civil Engineering and Development Department in conjunction with the road works for the Yuen Long South Development Stage 1 Works and Stage 2 Works, Phase 1.
