Deputy Secretary of State John J. Sullivan met today with Republic of Korea (R.O.K.) Vice Foreign Minister Cho Hyun at the Department of State, on the margins of the Ministerial to Advance Religious Freedom. Deputy Secretary Sullivan and Vice Foreign Minister Cho discussed the enduring strength of the U.S.-R.O.K. Alliance, which remains the linchpin of peace and security on the Korean Peninsula and across the Indo-Pacific region. The Deputy Secretary and Vice Foreign Minister also reaffirmed close cooperation on achieving the final, fully verified denuclearization of the D.P.R.K., as agreed to by Chairman Kim in Singapore.
