Acting Assistant Secretary of State for Economic and Business Affairs Patricia Haslach will participate in the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) Ministerial Council Meeting June 7-8 in Paris, France. United States Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer will lead the U.S. delegation to the meeting.
During the meeting, the Acting Assistant Secretary will advocate for the advancement of U.S. economic interests in the OECD. The meeting will bring together ministers from OECD member countries and partners under the theme, “Making Globalization Work: Better Lives for All.” The OECD is a unique forum where the governments of 35 democracies representing roughly half of the world GDP collaborate with more than 70 non-member economies to develop high-quality best practices and policies for economic growth and development.
