Police subdue rioters who blocked carriageways in Mong Kok

At around 9pm today (June 4), rioters ignored the vehicles on Argyle Street near Portland Street, Mong Kok and rushed out of the road. They blocked carriageways with miscellaneous objects such as barriers and traffic cones. Pedestrians have been put in immense danger as they were forced to shuttle between vehicles and the objects on the roads. In view of the danger and chaos at scene, Police officers in the vicinity immediately intercepted and subdued the suspects.
Police officers have taken enforcement action and deployed minimum necessary force according to the situation. Police warn all rioters to stop road blockage and endangering innocent citizens.
