Police strongly condemn protestors setting up barricades and intercepting vehicles
Some protestors have been blocking roads at multiple locations across Hong Kong by setting up barricades with barriers and intercepting vehicles on the road. Police express the strongest condemnation against these acts, which endanger the safety of road users. The aforementioned acts may constitute Unlawful Assembly or Loitering, upon conviction, offenders are liable to imprisonment of five years and two years respectively.
If members of the public encounter any illegal blockage on roads, please call 999 immediately and Police will arrange necessary deployment. Police had enhanced patrol on roads in order to combat such illegal acts.
