The spokesman for Pok Oi Hospital (POH) made the following appeal today (November 10) regarding a patient who left the hospital without notifying hospital staff:
A 76-year-old male patient left the Accidental and Emergency Department without notifying hospital staff at around 3.30pm today.
After discovering the patient had left, ward staff reported the incident to security guards immediately and conducted the search in hospital areas and nearby areas but were unable to locate the patient.
POH is very concerned about the incident and has reported it to the police immediately. The hospital will continue to cooperate with the police for the search.
The patient is about 1.7 meters tall, medium body build. He was wearing a grey down jacket with black boots and hat when leaving POH. He was seen to walk towards Small Traders New Village. The hospital appeals to the public to contact Yuen Long Police Station at 3661 4710 or call 999 if they know the whereabouts of the patient.
