​A spokesman for the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) said today (April 19) that the Provision of One-off Relief Grant to Operators of Light Refreshment Kiosks, Fast Food Kiosks and Retail Outlets (namely pro shops, bike kiosks, museum book shops and gift shops, performing arts shops, book shops and gift shops, and more) launched under the sixth round of the Anti-epidemic Fund will open for application on April 20. A one-off relief grant of $30,000 or $15,000 will be provided to business operators of light refreshment kiosks, fast food kiosks and the above-mentioned retail outlets in venues under the management of the LCSD. Details are as follows:
- A one-off grant amount of $30,000 will be provided to light refreshment kiosks, fast food kiosks and the above-mentioned retail outlets that have been directed to suspend business due to the closure of most of the leisure and cultural venues at which they are located arising from the Government's tightened anti-epidemic measures implemented on or after January 7, 2022; and
- A one-off grant amount of $15,000 will be provided to light refreshment kiosks, fast food kiosks and the above-mentioned retail outlets that have not been directed to suspend business but the operations are nonetheless affected by the implementation of the Government's social distancing measures.
Operators of the light refreshment kiosks, fast food kiosks or retail outlets mentioned above with valid contracts with the LCSD on the date of submission of application forms and still running the business(es) are eligible to apply for the grants. Eligible operators should submit their applications to the respective District Leisure Services Offices or cultural venues under the LCSD. The deadline for application is May 13, 2022. The application form and guidelines will be sent to each relevant business operator with valid contract directly or by post. Upon submission of the completed application forms, the disbursement of grants could generally be made in batches within around one month from the deadline for application.
