On 17 October, Dmitry Medvedev to take part in Open Innovations Forum

On 16-18 October 2017, the Skolkovo Technology Park will host the annual Open Innovations Forum. The name of the forum is Digital Economy: Challenges of Global Transformation.

The Russian Prime Minister will visit the forum on 17 October and will speak at the plenary meeting, Digital Economy: Society, Business and the State. The discussion will also be attended by Prime Minister of Luxembourg Xavier Bettel, the UK’s Chief Technology Officer Liam Maxwell, Alibaba Group founder and Chairman Jack Ma, Sberbank President and Chairman of the Board German Gref, Govtech Singapore CEO Jacqueline Poh, scientist, futurologist, Professor at the City College of New York Michio Kaku, and futurologist, Dubai Future Foundation COO Dr Noah Raford.

Participants in the plenary meeting will discuss the role of public and corporate management in the transition to the digital economy.

The Open Innovations Forum will consist of three themed days. The first day’s agenda will be the digital transformation of traditional companies and industries, as well as the revolution in management technology. The second day will be dedicated to changes in public management in relation to global digitalisation. The third day will focus on the social aspects of introducing the digital economy.

The Foreign Investment Advisory Council will participate in the forum. Singapore will be the partner for the second day of the forum.

The business programme of the forum will also feature a Russia-Singapore partnership conference, Smart Cities; a conference of corporate venture funds; a conference of technology parks in the CIS and Eurasian countries; as well as lectures by leading world experts in the digital economy, and the iMarket technology fair.  

The Open Innovations Forum has been held in Moscow since 2012. Its co-organisers are the Russian Ministry of Economic Development, the Moscow Government, the RUSNANO Fund for Infrastructure and Educational Programmes, Russian Venture Company, the Foundation for Innovation Support, the Skolkovo Foundation and Vnesheconombank.
