OLMH appeals to public on missing patient

The following is issued on behalf of the Hospital Authority:

     The spokesperson for Our Lady of Maryknoll Hospital (OLMH) made the following appeal today (March 17) regarding a patient who left the hospital without prior notification:

     A 57-year-old male patient was transferred to OLMH for treatment after testing positive for COVID-19 earlier. At around 3.30am today, the patient was found leaving the ward without prior notification.

     Upon the departure of the patient, security guards were immediately deployed to search for the patient within the hospital compound and the vicinity. The hospital also made a report to the Police for assistance. The hospital is very concerned about the incident and will fully co-operate with the Police to locate the patient.

     The patient is non-Chinese, about 1.65 metres tall, and medium-built with black short hair. He was wearing patient clothes and barefoot when leaving the ward.

     The hospital appeals to the public to contact Wong Tai Sin Police Station at 3661 1633 or call 999 immediately if they know the whereabouts of the patient.
