News story: Valerie Gordon-Walker joins BPDTS Ltd’s Board of Directors
Recently named by Cranfield as one of the FTSE 100 Women to Watch, Valerie Gordon-Walker is a former managing director, executive committee member and group head of human resources. During her executive career, she has worked at complex, global multinational organisations including Barclays, BP, West LB and Marks & Spencer. Much of her focus at these organisations was on major transformational change, strategic vision and effective stakeholder management.
Since 2009, Valerie has developed a strong and varied non-executive portfolio in both the private and public sector. She is currently a non-executive director at Airport Coordination Ltd (ACL) and ACL International. She is also working as a senior advisor to multinational firms focusing on corporate governance and culture, succession, board and executive mentoring.
In the public sector, Valerie has been an independent senior advisor to the Financial Conduct Authority and the Prudential Regulation Authority at the Bank of England. She is a graduate of University College Dublin, a founder member and freeman of the Guild of HR Professionals in the City of London, and is passionate about the arts.
