The following is issued on behalf of the Hospital Authority:

The spokesperson for the Hospital Authority (HA) today (January 10) announced that the HA will work in tandem with the Government's COVID-19 Vaccination Programme and provide a COVID-19 vaccination service (Sinovac) in 22 additional general out-patient clinics (GOPCs) starting from January 21, making a total of 24 selected GOPCs providing Sinovac vaccination (see Annex 1). From that date, the 24 selected GOPCs will cease the provision of seasonal influenza and pneumococcal vaccination services to focus manpower and resources on the provision of the COVID-19 vaccination service (Sinovac).

"Members of the public intending to receive COVID-19 vaccination at the GOPCs can make bookings through the Government's 24-hour online booking system at booking.covidvaccine.gov.hk," the HA spokesperson said.

"The remaining 49 GOPCs will continue to provide seasonal influenza and pneumococcal vaccination services. Patients with regular follow-up at GOPCs and community elderly people aged 65 or above who plan to receive influenza vaccination at GOPCs should note the new arrangement and contact the GOPCs if necessary."

The spokesperson reminded the public that it is recommended to have an interval of at least 14 days between the administration of seasonal influenza vaccination and a COVID-19 vaccine (BioNTech or Sinovac).

Members of the public can browse the government website www.coronavirus.gov.hk/eng/index.html for the latest information on COVID-19 vaccination.
