Police are investigating a murder case in Tin Sum this afternoon (August 5) in which a 59-year-old man died.
About 6.20pm today, a 58-year-old man reported to the Police that he assaulted his 59-year-old male colleague with a knife on Keng Hau Road. Police officers sped to the scene and found the 59-year-old man sustaining neck injuries and lying unconsciously inside a guardhouse. The 59-year-old man was certified dead at scene.
Initial investigation revealed that the 58-year-old man assaulted the deceased with a knife after a dispute. Police later arrested the 58-year-old man for murder. He is being detained for enquiries.
A knife in suspected connection with the case was seized at scene.
Post-mortem examinations will be conducted later to ascertain the cause of death of the deceased.
Investigation by the District Crime Squad of Sha Tin District is underway.
