Murder and wounding in Yuen Long

     Police are investigating a murder and wounding case happened in Yuen Long today (January 22) in which a man died.

     At 5.34am, Police received a report that two men were assaulted by suspects with knifes outside 12 to 18 Wang Yip Street West. The assailants then fled away.

     Police officers sped to the scene and located a 24-year-old man. Sustaining multiple injuries, he was rushed to Pok Oi Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 6.38am. Sustaining back injuries, another 28-year-old man was sent to Pok Oi Hospital in conscious state and was later transferred to Tuen Mun Hospital.

     Post-mortem examinations will be conducted later to ascertain the cause of death of the deceased.

     Active investigation by the Regional Crime Unit of New Territories North is underway.
